A great start by Continental High Boys Basketball went for naught when host Miller City ran away with the game late in the second quarter.  The Wildcats opened up the game with a basket and then the Pirates took an early lead thanks to a pair of 3s from Mason Rayle.  A Wildcat 6 point run (3 baskets) was stopped when Mason Rayle made 2 of 3 free throws.  8 all.  Another Wildcat basket (all 5 made by different players) put them at 10.  Monty Rayle would convert a free throw to end the first quarter scoring at 10-9 Wildcats.  Mason Rayle drained two more 3s for the Pirates to put them up 15-10.  It was all Wildcats as they would close the quarter on a 19 point run.  Wildcats 29-15 at half.

The Wildcats would make the first basket in the third quarter to put their lead to 16 31-15.  Brady Thomsen would stop the run at 21 with a free throw.  The Wildcats would add 18 more points to their total in the rest of the 3rd while the Pirates would get a pair of free throws from Jonathon Etter and a 3 point play from Carson Etter.  Wildcats 49-21 after 3.  The Wildcats would add 14 more points to their total while the Pirates would add 8 from 3 baskets by Thomsen and a basket by Quinn Tegenkamp.  Wildcats 63-29 final.

Mason Rayle led the Pirates with 14 points.  Brady Thomsen put in 7, Carson Etter 3, Jonathon Etter and Quinn Tegenkamp 2 each and Monty Rayle 1.  Mason Rayle hit four 3s for the Pirates.  The Wildcats hit two 3s.  The PIrates were 7/10 from the foul line.

Continental falls to 1-12 (0-2 PCL) and will host Fort Jennings on Friday night.  Miller City improves to 8-3 (2-1 PCL).
