These thugs may slightly modify the URL name or change the domain extension. For example, flipkart.com can be changed to flipKart.com or flipkart.org.
The padlock is to the left of the URL in the address bar of any website. Which indicates that the website is secured with a TLS/SSL certificate. This means that the data transaction between the users and the website is encrypted. If an exclamation mark ( !) appears to the left of the domain name in the website’s address bar, it means that the website is not secure.
Fake websites may have differences in spelling, grammar and design etc. Take care of such things.
